On January 20, a new president will be sworn in; a new administration will be implemented. Some of us are rejoicing with the change in government. Some of us are appalled and horrified, afraid of what may happen in the coming years. Whatever the case may be, let’s consider and remember the words of Isaiah 9. The fulfillment of this prophecy was fulfilled over 2,000 years ago, through the birth of a baby to an unwed teenager in a rough stable – a barn. Through this Man’s preaching, teaching and through His signs & wonders; through His death and resurrection, the whole world was turned upside-down. And….He is promising to come back! As we prepare for the next inauguration, and the implementation of a new government, let’s consider and realize that the TRUE government is not on Donald Trump’s shoulders, as it never was on Barack Obama’s shoulders. Our country may be a world power, but there is Someone Who has more powerful Governmental Authority than even the most powerful man on earth.
We followers of the carpenter’s Son can rejoice for that day when He comes back and assumes HIS Governorship! HIS “Presidency”! Our trust is not in any man-made government, no matter how good or how bad. Our Trust is in Jesus Christ.
“For unto us, a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given…..and the Government shall be on HIS shoulders! ......and no other.
