Barbara Holmes from Rhode Island will be sharing a teaching with us on the Leviathan spirit.  Barbara is the Rhode Island state coordinator of the Reformation Prayer Network (Cindy Jacobs) and the Heartland Apostolic Network (John Benefiel).  Barbara pastors 2 house churches and is involved in many statewide & regional prayer networks.  She is an excellent teacher with a powerful message.  Come and join us

10 Days: What is it?

10 Days is an annual opportunity for the Body of Christ in your area to step away from normal routines of daily life and enter into an extended time of experiencing God together through worship, prayer, fasting, and fellowship.  It’s a way for all the believers in your city to unite with Jesus at the center. It’s rooted in the 10 Days between the biblical Feasts of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement.

10 Days is intended to be part of the answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21: “Let them be one as we are one.”

HARTFORD CONCERT OF PRAYER

House of Good Hope is hosting an evening "Concert of Prayer" as part of the Connecticut statewide 10 Days of Prayer.  The term "Concert of Prayer" was used by Jonathan Edwards during the First Great Awakening in 1747. Edwards used this phrase to describe Christians coming together in visible unity and spiritual agreement. The application of this vision was to see congregations gathering every quarter to pray together stimulating the First Great Awakening in the United States.  We use this term because we believe the Lord wants to bring another Great Awakening to our country, He is looking for a people who would be willing to pray this in.

At this Concert of Prayer, we will also be praying for the AWAKEN THE DAWN prayer movment taking place in Washington D.C. October 6-9.

Worship leaders, prayer leaders and intercessors from all across the nation will gather in 50+ tents covering the National Mall. It will be a tent-city filled with worship, music, prayer, and the gospel.  Each of the 50 states will have a tent for day and night prayer and relational connection. There will be larger regional tents with full sound systems for day and night worship and music. Nothing like this has ever been done before in our nation’s capital. Washington, D.C. will be a resting place for the presence of God and a staging ground for missions.

On the final day–all day–we are extremely excited to partner with Rise Up led by Lou Engle (www.thecall.com/riseup) in a big stage venue on the National Mall!
