10 Days of Prayer

Starting tomorrow, we're doing a daily 6-8 AM prayer conference call, all are welcome to join us.  To join the call, dial 1-302-202-1108.  Access: 230081

God gave the 10 Commandments from Mount Sinai, accompanied by smoke, earthquakes and the blast of a trumpet to emphasize the importance of these laws. Moses recorded God’s words in Exodus 20 and recounted the event again in Deuteronomy 5. There are only slight differences of emphasis in the accounts. We are going to pray through the Ten Commandments,  pray through one commandment each day.  During these 10 Days of Prayer, we as representatives of the New England Church will repent for our not following these commandments.  We recognize and acknowledge they are 10 Commandments, not “suggestions”, or “options”.  We recognize they are to be followed just as closely today as our forefathers had in the past.  We also recognize that Jesus never came to do away with the Law, or do away with these Commandments, He came to fulfill the Law.  These laws are to be written on the tablets of our hearts.  Holy Spirit empowers us to follow these Commandments, but it is always our choice to do them.

PRAYER POINTS:

SEPTEMBER 20 - You shall have no other gods before Me.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

PRAY

Exodus 20:2
Deuteronomy 5:6
Isaiah 43
Isaiah 45:5-6

Pray the Lord will establish His sovereignty over Connecticut and over New England.  Pray for His Glory to reign.

REPENT:          For not allowing the Lord to make His Throne in your life. (Psalm 22:3)

For allowing the fear of man to limit and hinder you. (Proverbs 29:25)

PRAY: Worship GOD!  Exalt His Name!  As what Bob Sorge once said, stare unabashedly at the Face of Jesus.  Fall in love with your Lord, your King and your Savior.

PRAY:  For Wellspring Church (Berlin), as they host the first prayer meeting for the Connecticut 10 Days of Prayer.  May the Lordship and Sovereignty of God be enthroned in the hearts of the people!

 PRAY: For Awaken the Dawn:

TENT OF MEETINGS

The Tent of Meetings represent the raw, unfiltered presence of God, unrestrained by cultural norms—extending an invitation to weak men and women to cry out to meet with Him, face-to-face. This is the cry that must arise from the generations as we tabernacle together on the National Mall: We want to meet with you face-to-face!

PRAY: John 1:14 declares that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”—we want Jesus to tabernacle among us on the National Mall in His full splendor.
