SEPTEMBER 24 - Honor your father and your mother.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

REPENT:
• Not praying for your parents.
• Not modeling your parents’ godly attributes
• Not helping them, even though that may be difficult at times.
• Not modeling Jesus for them.
• Not weeping for them before the Lord, pouring your heart out to Him on their behalf.
• Not forgiving them. The Lord can help you do this!
PRAY: For the families in Connecticut and in New England; that the home and the family will once again be first priority in our lives. Pray for all of the parents who have chosen to sacrifice for their children: given up jobs, larger homes, second cars, cable, etc. so that one parent can stay home and raise their children.. Pray that parents model Christ in their homes. Pray that children will accept and receive their parents’ love. Pray for an increase of teaching of healthy parenting in our churches. Pray the Body of Christ will adopt the unloved and unloveable children and love them as their own.
PRAY: For Thrive Church (Terryville) as they host the first prayer meeting for the Connecticut 10 Days of Prayer. May the Lordship and Sovereignty of God be enthroned in the hearts of the people!

SACRIFICIAL LOVE
The worth of Jesus compels us out of love to surrender all. Surrender involves sacrifice. A broken woman broke her alabaster jar containing expensive ointment to anoint Jesus’s feet—this was a love motivated sacrifice. Love sees no sacrifice too great for the One who sacrificed all for us.
PRAY: One aspect of sacrificial love that we must humbly share is the need for financial provision to pull off a gathering of this magnitude. Please pray for surrendered hearts to lavish sacrifices of love at the feet of Jesus.
